Ministries & Activities at Zion
Lift Urban Portland
Zion supports Lift Urban Portland (LIFTUP), a faith-based food bank founded in 1980 that is devoted to providing food for those dealing with food insecurity in rental units throughout downtown Portland and North Portland. Zion is a charter member of LIFTUP and cares for people in four buildings and gives financial grants, food, peoples hours and supplies to Lift Urban Portland in support of these efforts.
Members of Zion sit on the board of directors of LIFTUP. Zion is the primary sponsor of Uptown Tower on West Burnside and is the largest supplier of food to this building. We assist more than 45 people in low-income residences by delivering boxes and bags of food to residents in four downtown buildings…

Ladies Guild
The Zion Ladies Guild is basically the women’s club of Zion, but so much more. They meet every first & 3rd Tuesday at 11am, and each month a new guest speaker is featured. 3rd Tuesday is a gathering for Bible study.
The Ladies Guild provides food and fellowship for funerals and they organize the Rose Haven luncheon every year. They have a heart for mission and truly desire to walk humbly with Jesus. The Ladies Guild is open to women of all ages. If you are interested in getting involved contact Kris Maher.
Rosehaven Shelter
Rose Haven offers an array of services to help homeless and abused women and children improve their lives in Portland, Oregon. This is a cause on our hearts at Zion. We desire that women and children of all ages encounter the love, mercy, and dignity that they deserve as bearers of the image of God. They are truly precious to us. We help support Rose Haven by giving yearly grants, collecting necessary everyday items, donating food items, and volunteering to support when we can. We offer a yearly luncheon to the women and children of Rose Haven at our campus simply to show our love and support to the women and children in their care. See our calendar or Newsletter for updates and upcoming events. For more info, contact our Director of Human Care.

With the assistance of SOAR Immigration Legal Services, the husband/father has been approved to join the family as soon as the arrangements can be made with the US Embassy in Pakistan.
