Maundy Thursday Worship!

Join us for Maundy Thursday worship at 7pm. Service is limited to 50 attendees so make your reservations now: RESERVATIONS

Maundy comes from the latin "mandatum" which means mandate or command. This refers to Jesus' injunction to his disciples to "Love one another." We will explore the deep meaning behind Jesus' washing of his disciples feet and the institution of the Sacrament of Communion established in the upper room anticipating Jesus' subsequent execution on the cross. All of this bears deeply in the celebration of Maundy Thursday a quiet and somber service as we make the Holy Week journey to the cross and anticipate the empty tomb of Easter.

Exercising an abundance of caution in the wake of COVID-19, masks are required. We will hold to the standards of social distancing and will abstain from singing, as singing is considered a "super-spreading event" even while wearing masks. Though the hymns and music will serve as meditative pieces that prepare and orient our hearts toward God in worship. Join us! All are welcome!
